Meet Me Halfway is a group show featuring a taste of Chicago & Detroit’s emerging ceramic-based artists curated by mack baker. The artists represented are graduate students and recent alumni from the School of The Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and Cranbrook Academy of Art’s Ceramics programs. The show will exhibit work by Erika NJ Allen, mack baker, Cherry Tung, Brooke Herzing, Lisa Farris, Kiki Liu, Mace Ferrer, Rachel Heibel, Mike Landini, Makayla Lindsay, Alex Lewis, Chris Salas, Isabel Sperry, Michael Takahata, Cristal Zeballos, Xingrui Xu, and Noah Zirpoli. The work displayed will demonstrate the variety of ceramic art being produced at the two Midwest institutions, bringing together artists working among a diversity of processes ranging from sculptural to functional, from raw clay to high fire.
